Helix has a self-service password reset portal in place so that anyone can unlock their account and/or reset their password, without having to contact a manager or call IT.
NOTE: Due to security precautions, the reset portal will not be accessible outside of the Helix network. If you happen to be working remotely when you need a reset, you will still need to call IT and we can walk you through the reset process in a different way.
The password reset portal works like this:
1) Go to reset.helixlinear.com
2) Enter your username only (no domain name) and click next
For example: ashaffer
3) The system will send a text message to your cell phone to verify your identity.
4) Enter the code that was sent to your cell phone and click Next
5) Create a new password
So how do you get to the webpage if you can’t sign on to a computer in the first place?
Option 1)
Walk up to any Wyse box, disconnect from TS2/TS3, and click on the green RESET icon. This will sign in automatically and take you directly to the reset portal.
Option 2)
If your mobile phone is joined to the Guest wifi, you can visit the reset portal there too. The portal will not work on cellular internet, it will only work if you are on the Guest WiFi.
Option 3)
Kindly ask a coworker if you can briefly use their computer to visit the reset portal.
