Zebra Label Creation in Word

Basic formatting

  1. Locate the Label template found in H:\Labels\Label Template 4x2.3125.dotx
  2. Open the label template it will open Word
  3. Now you can use default Word formatting to set up the label
    • Or you can use a text box found in the Insert tab

 

Adding barcodes

  1. To add a barcode,
  2. Type the text of the barcode in a normal font
  3. Then goto the home tab and highlight the text you wish to make a barcode:
  4. Click the font selection and type "DataWorks Bar 9" without quotes
    • Or scroll to fonts starting with D and look for the following image

 

Adding vertical text:

  1. Create a text box 
  2. Type text in the textbox
  3. Move the mouse over the symbol that looks like a refresh icon and click and drag
