There is a web interface to our phone system that allows you to do things while working remotely, like:

  • turn on/off forwarding
  • view call history
  • configure Follow Me settings

 

FreePBX User Control Panel Setup

  1. Use Remote Desktop to sign on to the Helix server (or use any PC at the office)
  2. Go to http://freepbx.helixlinear.com/ucp/
  3. Check the box for Remember Me
  4. Your username is your extension
  5. If you don't have a password set up, request one from [email protected]
    • To change your password, sign in and click on the gear icon in the lower left of the screen
  6. Sign in with user/pass
  7. At first login, you will be taken to an empty screen. First we need to add a Dashboard, then we can add widgets.
    • click on the "+" sign in the upper right to add an empty Dashboard.
    • give it a name and click Create Dashboard
  8. You will need to add widgets for features that you want to use.
    • click on the "+" sign in the upper left
    • click on the feature that you want to see on your Dashboard and click the "+" sign to add it
    • repeat until finished
  9. Some widgets will render in odd shapes and sizes.
    • You can resize them by using the arrows in the lower right corner of each widget by clicking and dragging
    • You can drag them around to re-arrange them
